When we visited Martha’s Vineyard last summer, we went to one of their popular spot in Edgartown for lunch with a view. Since it was off peak time, it was not crowded, and we didn’t need a reservation. We got the table in the patio, overlooking the water. What a beautiful view!
We each decided to get a cocktail to go with our lunch. We got Shan-Fusion Mule ($13) with Vodka, Ginger Beer, Lime, and grape juice. I think the orange one was Ocean Berry Booze ($13) with Acai-Blueberry Vodka and Pink lemonade. I went with Mudslide ($14) with Vodka, Coffee & Irish Cream Liquor, and Vanilla Ice Cream. It was exactly what I wanted. Frozen and slushy, sweet and rich!
One thing to note: The bees were crazy about these maraschino cherries that comes with some of the drinks. They are harmless unless you attach them, but they can be a bit aggressive towards the cherry… So, if you want to have the drink in peace, you might want to ask the server to dress the drinks without the cherry, or remove it immediately and put it far away from you.
For appetizer, we had Clam Chowder ($12), a traditional New England chowder in a small bowl. It had lots of clams, creamy and comforting.
For main, we all got lobster roll. What can be better than having a lobster roll with the view of the water? Come on! They had the cold and warm version, and we got the cold one. It is Island’s Best & Biggest Lobster Roll ($34), made with Lobster Salad lightly dressed with Mayo and Celery. And it sure was pretty big and with a mountain of lobster chunk meat! It was really tasty and super satisfying! The fries that came with it was nice too, crunchy bits with soft, potato-y inside. But the lobster roll sure took the spot light on that main stage. The $34 price sounds expensive, but I think it was worth the price tag, as it was huge and you get so much lobster. Delicious!
