There are several spots where they have long lines out the door around Pike Place Market. Beecher’s is one of them. Luckily for us, they have more than one location. One of them is in Bellevue, inside a shopping mall called Bellevue Square. This location is not in such high demand, so it is much easier to get their offerings.
We got their grilled sandwiches, along with their partner in delicious crime, tomato soup.
We got the Tomato Flagship Soup ($4.99/8 oz), and you get $1 off if you are also getting a sandwich! The staff asked me if I wanted cheese and crouton, and I of course said yes. He put a generous amount of each into a different cup, so that I get a full amount of soup with a nice amount of cheese and croutons. Thanks!
And here is the soup with some of the croutons and cheese. The soup was nice and hot, so the cheese started to melt over the fiery red soup… And it was sooooo good! Flavorful, comforting, great tomato taste, with perfect amount of seasoning. The cheese brought the already good soup to the next level, I loved it!
The first sandwich of our choice was their original, basic, simple Grilled Cheese ($7.99), made with Beecher’s Flagship cheese, and Just Jack Cheese. The cheese was so gooey and so melty and oh-so-amazing! The bread was toasted just right, simple yet packed with cheesy flavor. It went great with the tomato soup!
The other sandwich was Flagship ($8.99), made with Beecher’s Flagship cheese, Just Jack Cheese, Basil & Tomato. This one was great too, with slices of ripe tomatoes, and more of a hint of basil. It was an excellent sandwich, a bit more “meaty” with the thick slices in there, all cuddled in gooey goodness.
The male staff was really nice, he did a great job making these sandwiches! If you are a fan of grilled cheese, give Beecher’s popular sandwiches a try! And if you don’t want to wait in a line for a long time, head over to Bellevue. You can get the same sandwiches here, and at the same time, you can do some shopping while you are at it.
