Mora Iced Creamery

While visiting Bainbridge Island off Seattle, we decided to get some ice cream. On a hot Summer day, nothing can beat a good ice cream… And this spot seemed like a popular spot.

They had a nice indoor space, as well as outdoor seating. It is always nice to have a seating space, especially on a really hot or muggy day. The space is not large, but it is an ice cream shop, not a restaurant.

They had so many flavors that all sounded very tasty and interesting. It was not easy to just choose one flavor… At the end, I chose Banana Split ($4.95/single scoop). It is made with real-fruit banana ice cream, swirled dulce de leche, and shaved chocolate. I always want to order a banana split when I go to an ice cream shop, but it is always too big… But here, you can have it in a scoop! This ice cream had a great banana flavor. It captured the banana split flavor perfectly. Gooey caramel drizzle, crunchy chocolate chips, creamy banana ice cream…yes please!

My hubby went with Mexican Chocolate ($4.95/single scoop). It is made with mysterious blend of dark chocolate, cinnamon and nutmeg. It was almost like a “cold hot chocolate” with the spice. Decadent and velvety, great spice without being too overwhelming. You can really taste the high quality in the chocolate.

I gotta tell you, their ice cream was soooo good! I’ve never had banana split ice cream before, but I say they have one of the best banana split ice cream around! And I always enjoy a little cold hot chocolate, and this one was pretty darn great. The “single” scoop was generous, we got a nice amount of ice cream in our cups. Totally worth the price and then some! I wish if they open a location in NYC…
