Before we left our beloved Martha’s Vineyard, we had to get some drink on! But not too much though, as we were on our bicycles… We found the perfect spot for us, nearby the Oaks Bluffs ferry terminal. They had a nice outdoor seating, but since it was a bit hot, we decided to get a table in the inside.

We were greeted as soon as we got inside with a welcoming smile. It looked like a huge cabin by the water, with lots of wooden boats hanging from the ceiling. Warm and cozy atmosphere, great spot to relax.

Many restaurants will bring you some complimentary bread, but here, you get complimentary peanuts! And what you do with the peanut shells? You can toss them on the floor! Let some stress out of your chest with them shells! LOL.

I must say, we were not very hungry, as we have been eating our way through Martha’s Vineyard during this day trip. So, we were just looking to get some beer and a snack. The snack of choice was easy, as soon as I saw “truffle fries” on the menu, I knew I had to have it. Parmesan Truffle Fries ($8.98) is made with hand cut fries drizzled with truffle oil, and shaken with parmesan cheese and salt. It had an amazing aroma of truffle, so crazy good! The portion was great too. It went perfect with beer, we couldn’t stop eating them! So addicting…I could have this every day!

For drink, they had more than just beer, but wine, cocktail, bubbly, etc., etc… But we were feeling like beer, and their beer menu sounded really good. We wanted to taste more than one or two, so we inquired if they offer beer flight. And guess what, they surely do! It is not on the menu, but if you ask, they will provide them! The flight comes with four beers of your choice. We went with East Chop, Blueberry, Argus, and Stout.

East Chop Light House, which is an award winning golden ale, crisp, fresh, and clean. It was light and smooth, hoppy and easy to go down. Beautiful light golden color. Offshore Blueberry is a seasonal favorite. It was so refreshing, perfect summer beer. Great blueberry flavor without being too fruity. The Argus is a strong dark Belgian ale with flavors of caramel married with a nice nuttiness. It was in beautiful deep amber color. I tasted the sweet flavor of caramel and honey. It was not too heavy, but satisfying. Steeprock Stout is roasted, smooth, and delicious with a deep black color and easy, dry finish. It had notes of coffee and smoky flavor. Quite tasty!

We had a really nice, relaxing time here with delicious snack and drinks. Exactly what we wanted before getting onto the ferry. The service was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our time here. I am sure we will be back during our next trip top Martha’s Vineyard! If you are looking for a place to get some tasty beer and food, give this place a try!
