Woops! @ Winter Village at Bryant Park

Every year during the Holiday season, we go visit several of the holiday markets around Manhattan to look for gifts for family and friends. And yes, for ourselves too… I think the holiday market at Bryant Park, Bank of America Winter Village, is one of the largest, and one of the most visually stunning one to visit.

As most others, they have all sorts of shops selling gloves and hats, electronics, decorations, toys, etc., etc… The Bryant park location comes with more than just the shops, it holds water fountain, ice skating rink and a large Christmas Tree. It is so beautiful and fun to watch people ice skating too.

And with its proximity to Empire State Building, you get to see it beautifully lit from the holiday market as well. Very scenic and fun! Addition to all sorts of shops, they do have many eateries, both savory and sweet.

One of the sweet shops caught my eye… It was called Woops! and it looked like they had macarons. I initially thought they were selling woopie pie because of the name. They are a boutique bakeshop featuring coffees, teas, and macarons.

They had a good varieties of macarons, and also some cookies and alfajores. We decided to get some macarons for us, the temptation was too strong…

We got a box of six macarons of our choice. It was not easy to choose just six out of all the delicious looking and sounding macarons… We finally went with Blueberry Cheesecake, Mojito, Pistachio, Mint Chocolate, Vanilla, and Expresso ($2.75/each). Their macarons are made with high quality ingredients, with no additives nor preservatives. Nice!

Blueberry Cheesecake Macaron was very creamy with wonderful flavor for blueberry cheesecake. I don’t know how they got so much blueberry cheesecake flavor in the macaron! It was moist and super delicious.

Mojito Macaron had a very strong flavor of sweetened lime, if that makes any sense. It was certainly memorable, in a good way. Again, moist and creamy, their flavor really pop!

Pistachio macaron was very nutty with small pieces of real pistachio in it. We have had our shares of pistachio macarons, but this one got on the top three for sure. It was super duper awesome!

Mint Chocolate Macaron was very minty, and chocolate ganache was nice and velvety. It was a really nice, quality macaron. My hubby said it tastes like girl scout cookies, which was interesting…

Espresso Macchiato Macaron had some golden brush stroke on it. I think it is not usually in Red color, but maybe just for the holiday time, it receives face lift? This one was great too, tasted like a sweet macchiato but not too sweet. Classy and amazing flavor.

Old Fashion Vanilla Macaron looked almost like a mini woopie pie. It tasted like like a delicious old fashion donut with creamy icing. Soooo good!!!!

Their macarons are filled with premium chocolate ganaches and jams, so each one tasted great. We enjoyed them all, we can see how they have expanded from Bryant Park to so many locations throughout the country! They certainly made me their fan after one bite…
