Biscuit Bitch Belltown

Nowadays, “farm-to-table” is all the rage. But here at Biscuit Bitch, they are all about “Trailer Park to Table: Southern Inspired Fixin’s and Kickass Espresso.” Intrigued? They have three locations in Seattle, and we visited one at Belltown. It was a holiday, thinking that they won’t have much of a line… But I was so wrong! They had a long line of hungry customers!

They had a few outdoor seating, but not enough, obviously. They had some fun postings on their window, making us chuckle. For business hours, it had a posting that says “Bitch, when you open?” And for hiring status, it says “Bitches be hirin’!”

About 30 minutes later, we finally got to the entrance. Not to the ordering counter just yet, but it was a relief to see how close we are to ordering our food. They had a fun STOP sign right there, asking customers to leave enough space between the register and the line, so that people and staff can walk around. They had a small room to the right, and larger space to the left. Again, not enough for their popularity and super high demand.

When I finally got to the register, it was little less than one hour of wait in total. A staff greeted me with casual “What’s up?” Really bubbly, informal, and friendly. They had complimentary water, placed right by the register. The décor was all fun and bit crazy.

After you put in an order, you have to either find a seat or go outside until a table become available. You can also take them to go, but you have to wait outside until the order is ready. The music was kind of loud, which can make it a bit harder to hear when they call out your name.

I was told it will take about 15-20 min for the order to come out. We ordered Hot Mess Bitch ($11.70) and Easy Bitch (8.45). LOL!!!

Hot Mess Bitch comes with Biscuit and Gravy, Eggs and Garlic Grits smothered in Cheese, Grilled Louisiana hot Link and Jalapenos. They have an option to substitute the Hot Link with Vege Sausage for additional 60 cents.

It came piping hot, mountain of ingredients, looking soooo good! It was quite spicy, with very plump sausage that gave that great cracking sound when you bite into it, which enhances the dining experience in my opinion. It was so cheesy, and the garlic grits were great, too. Very filling and oh-so-satisfying!

Easy Bitch comes with Biscuit and Gravy topped with two Eggs Over Easy. I added Two Pork Sausage Patties for additional $3.60.

At a first glance, it might not look as exciting as the Hot Mess Bitch, but looks can be deceiving… It had a nice kick to it, with eggs cooked to perfection, giving me egg porn… It was gravy heaven, with soft and dough-y biscuit. It was so good!!!

They have one large uni-sex bathroom in the larger dining room. For a super busy place, it was relatively clean.

It was a perfect comfort food, packed with flavor and super filling. The staffs here were nice and friendly. Unpretentious, no-frill, funny spot to have a really good comfort food! Even though we waited almost one hour in line, but I think it was shorter than normal wait. After trying their food, I see the reason why they are so popular!
