Mavi’s Coffee and Patisserie #2

We visited Mavi’s not too long ago, and it was a-ok. But, we decided to give it another try! We got Earl Grey Fog Latte ($5), iced. It had a nice Ear Grey flavor, not overly sweet but elegantly sweet. Refreshing on a hot, muggy day.

For food, my hubby ordered Truffle Mushroom Cream Pasta ($13). It was very truffle-y, in both aroma and flavor. Sauce was pretty delicious, creamy and tasty! The portion was a bit small, but the quality was high.

I went with Rose Cheese Donkatsu ($5.95), made with Spicy Tomato Cream Sauce, Donkatsu, Mushroom, Bell Pepper, Onion, and Cheese.

This one was bigger than the pasta dish, more volume too. It had a nice kick to it, but not overly spicy, just right. Katsu was a bit tough… I found a loads of mushrooms under the Katsu, hiding away. I liked how it came with some pasta in it too. The flavor of the dish was quite good, and it was very filling.

The staffs on this day was more friendly than the staffs we saw on our first visit. The dishes were nice, but not amazing. So, they didn’t win us over completely, but I am glad we tried them again.
