Emily

I have many loves when it comes to food. One of which is a good burger. For that reason, Emily has been on my radar for a long time. You might think that they are more of a pizzeria, and yes, they do offer pizza, and obviously pizza loves Emily according to their cute neon light on the window. But they also have a burger… on a pretzel bun!

We made it before they got super busy, so we were able to get a table without a reservation. They have another dining space on the basement level, down the stairs.

They even have a private room area next to a wine cellar down there! Looks nice! This area can NOT be completely closed off, from what I could see, but it still provides a good amount of privacy from the rest of the areas.

We started with one of their Holiday Cocktails. We both chose White Christmas ($14), made with Brandy, Crème de Cacao, Borghetti Coffee Liquor, and Cream. With the Coffee liquor, it was not purely white, but it was tasty! It was like a nice a boozy coffee and cream.

For food, we thought about getting a burger and a pizza, but somehow, their chicken sandwich has won us over. So we ordered The Emmy Double Stack Burger ($26), and Chicken Parm Sandwich ($17). Unfortunately, something happened to the burger order, and we only received the sandwich… as soon as we alerted our server, he went to check on the order. About 10 min later, the burger arrived as well, which gave us the time to enjoy the sandwich together while waiting.

The Chicken Parm Sandwich is topped with Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, and Basil. It was big, and the chicken was super tender and juicy! The melty cheese was just perfect, and the tomato sauce was finger-licking good. And it also came on the pretzel bun, which was awesome! We really loved this sandwich! The sandwich does not come with a side of fries or anything, just a pickle, but it is quite filling.

The Emmy Double Stack Burger is made with Dry-aged Grass-Fed Beef, EMMY Sauce, Caramelized Onion, American Cheese, and a Pickle on a Pretzel B. It also comes with a side of Waffle Fries.

And look at this glorious burger! The gooey, melty cheese hugging the entire contents, just makes my mouth water just by looking at it… It had crunchy pickles on the bottom, holding up the perfectly cooked beef patties. It was really tasty! Their secret sauce was great too. The waffles fries were addicting and satisfying as well.

Their bathroom is on the basement level, just go down the stairs by the host station near the entrance, and go all the way to the back.

They have a couple of gender-neutral bathrooms, and the sinks are place outside of them. I always liked places that have sinks outside the bathroom, in case you just wanted to go wash your hands before/after eating the food.

We had a nice dinner here, everything was delicious! Our server, Chris, took a good care of us, and came to check on us often. About the time we left the restaurant, there were crowds of people waiting for tables. I can see the reason why they are so popular. I would love to go back and try their pizza next time!
