Sweet Annie’s Ice Cream

Down in the Sunshine State, ice cream shops are a must! After trying some tasty delights at Beebe’s Ice Cream, I was ready for more… I found this spot was another popular spot in Marco Island, so we headed over there in the evening after dinner.

It is not as conveniently located as Beebe’s from where we were staying in Marco Island, but that didn’t stop us… Once we got there, holy cow milk! It was packed! The line was going out the door! Granted, the inside was quite small, but still… A definite sign of their popularity. Young female staffs (teenagers?) working as hard as they could to keep up with the long line and the demand. They had a massive flavor menu written on the chalkboard, which was great. You could look at what seemed like unlimited amount of flavors while waiting in the line.

I liked how they had the flavors broken down into several categories, like “Caramel Lovers,” “Chocolate Lovers,” “Classics,” and so on and so on. They also had them color coded to show which ones are gluten free, which one contains nuts, etc. for the people with allergies. How helpful! To me, the massive menu was quite overwhelming, I had a really tough time deciding on one…

At the end, I went with Dreamsicle, which was under “Flavors We Know You’ll Love” and guess what? They were right! It had some toasted coconut in it, making it a bit more “meaty” and flavorful. I learned how huge one scoop is around here, so I ordered just one scoop of Dreamsicle in a cup ($4.20). The one scoop was overflowing from the cup… Awesome! The ice cream was thick, creamy and super tasty! Soooo good!!!

My hubby went with Sunken Treasure, vanilla ice cream with chocolate covered pecans, mini caramel cups, and caramel swirl. If you guessed this ice cream was under “Caramel Lovers” then you were correct! Again, we got one scoop in a cup ($4.20). This one was really nice, I thought it might be overwhelmingly caramel-y, but vanilla ice cream balanced it out nicely. Enjoyed the crunchy texture from the chocolate covered pecan.

After trying both ice cream shops, I totally enjoyed them both… Yes, they are both my favorite. Each one had their own unique flavors and atmosphere, but at the end, both providing lots of smiles and happiness to everyone! This shop had another room attached, with a few tables and chairs. They also sell all sorts of candies and souvenirs. A really fun place to get some ice cream!
